I’v always been a fan of Soundex especially for English language duplicate detection. Here is a a great post from Advantage Works which shows you how to integrate Soundex logic into CRM 4.0′s duplicate detection. The great thing about this solution: it runs with JScript only – so the coding is super simple. It’s not a global solution (because of Soundex’s English language roots) but it’s a useful ‘powerscript’ for CRM.
